We are located on 40 acres, nestled in a small canyon at the base of the La Sal Mountains. We are off-the-grid, supplied by solar and hydro-electric. Very near by exist never-ending opportunities for world-class climbing, mountain biking, hiking, etc. We grow a range of produce, greens, flowers, and winter storage veggies. We sell at the local farmers’ market and to area restaurants, bed and breakfasts, and a health food store. We offer a private space to stay as well as camping. We ask for 25 hours of reasonable physical outdoor labor per week and prefer wwoofers who are seriously interested in learning about farming as a livelihood. Length of stay negotiable. We provide a simple communal omnivorous dinner each evening and offer basic staples for you to cook with for your own breakfasts/lunches. You are welcome to eggs and food from the garden as available. Our work focuses on organic market gardening and sustainably “re-inhabiting” our beautiful historic homestead.
